KeymasterHello,
do you have a live example of this form?
Thanks,
MichaelMichael
KeymasterHello Ignacio,
we don’t have a program for non profit organizations, however, if you create a template on the Composer with a latest posts block set to retrieve the last published posts, you’ll end up with a ready to send template which you can send manually whenever you’d like to.
Thanks,
MichaelApril 8, 2024 at 5:18 pm in reply to: Receive notification email every time a user subscribes to the website #324497Michael
KeymasterHello Ignacio,
yes of course you can, just go to Subscription > Settings and messages > Advanced and set Notifications to “yes”.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello,
when you say “it is not applied”, do you say that because users keep getting unsubscribed? If that so, we are aware of this issue and we’re working on a solution. If you’re willing to help us, it would be of great help if you could collect the IP of some of these users, and sent them to us at michael@thenewsletterplugin.com
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello Peter,
were the mail templates custom made? If so, you should update your logo manually. Also, if you want to create a reusable signature, I’d suggest to create a new composer template so you can always start from there when creating a new newsletter.
Let me know if this helps you,
MichaelMichael
KeymasterHello Ignacio,
that’s exactly what our premium Automated addon does. Take a look here: https://www.thenewsletterplugin.com/automated
Thanks,

KeymasterHello,
do you have a live example of this form?
Thanks,
MichaelApril 8, 2024 at 9:33 am in reply to: When newsletters are sent, subscribers are set to logged out. #324383Michael
KeymasterHello, and thanks for using our plugin.
Unfortunately automatic unsubscriptions are rapidly becoming an issue for some users. We’ve added a 2-step unsubscription process that you can activate in our general settings panel that should mitigate this problem (casued by automatic spam filters that some of your recipients have in place) but some unsubscriptions may still occur.
If you’re willing to help us retrieve some useful data on this matter, please let us have some of the IP’s of the unsubscribed users so we can build a sort of database of where these come from. You can mail them at michael@thenewsletterplugin.com
Thanks,
MichaelMichael
KeymasterHello James, and thanks for using our plugin.
Fonts in email design are a little bit different from web design (eg. your own blog pages) and not all fonts are to be considered safe for use. That’s why we’ve included only fonts that 100% of the clients will render properly. However, as Google Fonts are getting more and more widely supported, we’re currently testing them in our Composer and we’ll be adding them in the near future.
Thanks,
MichaelMichael
KeymasterHello,
I noticed you were also mentioning our import addon, that is free and bundled with the free version of our plugin.
Thanks,
MichaelMichael
KeymasterHello Peter,
and thanks for using our plugin. Logo and company info can be set in Newsletter’s main settings and then recalled by the Header block in the Composer.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello Jonas,
you’re most welcome. Happy to see your issue solved! Thanks,
MichaelMichael
KeymasterHello, and thanks for wanting to give our plugin a shot.
We’re sorry if the website design didn’t work well for you, let me clarify some things:– Gravity forms integration is a paid addon, which you can get by subscribing to one of our premium licenses. That’s why you were sent to the pricing page.
_ The core plugin is and will always be free, you can download and install it directly from your WordPress run website or by manual installation from the WordPress.org plugin repository.
– We do not offer demo versions of our premium addons. However we have a 30-days no-questions-asked refund policy, so you can get your money back should you find our plugin not fitting your needs. Thanks,
MichaelMichael
KeymasterHello Jonas,
I took a look at your screenshot and from the delay charts I can see there are delay spikes of more than 7000s. This is a clear symptom that the cron job isn’t set up properly. Please, try to switch to our own cron service at the link I sent you on the my first reply (see in particular “Activate our cron service”) and see if that solves your issues.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello James, and thanks for using our plugin. We’ll take your feedback into consideration and we’ll try our best to make it clearer.
Thanks,
MichaelMichael
KeymasterHello Jonas,
can you please send me a full screenshot of the Scheduler page so I can check a couple of things? If you’re not able to send it here, you can email it at michael@thenewsletterplugin.com
Thanks,
MichaelMichael
KeymasterHello,
I am sorry but I didn’t fully understand what you’re trying to achieve here. You said you have Wp User addon active, and a private area that only registered users can access, with a custom coded form. So at that point, registered users aren’t subscribers yet? Can you please elaborate further?
Thanks,
MichaelMichael
KeymasterHello Jonas,
if you correctly set up a cron job with your provider then yes, you can safely ignore that message.
Thanks,
MichaelMichael
KeymasterHello,
there is absolutely no problem, I’m happy it works for you now!
Have a nice day,
MichaelMichael
KeymasterHello,
since this behaviour is caused by Elementor and not our plugin, I’d suggest to follow this guide: https://elementor.com/help/how-to-add-custom-css/. Let me know if you need further assistance.
Thanks,
MichaelApril 2, 2024 at 9:25 am in reply to: How to integrate posts from a specific component/theme #324084Michael
KeymasterHello,
you should use the Custom Post Type block in our composer. See if your registered custom post type is available in the filters there.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello and thanks for using our plugin.
You should try to add this css rule in the style.css of your theme:
.elementor-kit-1768 a {
color: #fff;
}Let me know if that works.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello, I took a look at rosenstiehl.net/newsletter and it looks like the subscription form is correctly working there. Can you confirm this?

Michael
KeymasterHello, and thanks for using our plugin.
Can you please describe more in detail what exactly doesn’t work with the subscription form? Do you have a live example of the form?
Thanks,
MichaelMichael
KeymasterSalve Federico,
puoi inviarmi qualche screenshot a michael@thenewsletterplugin.com?
Michael
KeymasterSalve Federico,
avrei bisogno di qualche indicazione più precisa sul problema che stai riscontrando. Che tipo di errore compare?
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello Jonas,
Wp Control actually does nothing to your cron system, apart from displaying the current active crons and other info. You should set up an external cron service, I encourage you to read this article, it should clarify many things on how cron works.

March 27, 2024 at 7:53 am in reply to: Ability to have one-time test recipients per newsletter #323849Michael
KeymasterOh I see Mike, yes, in that case there is no test option, except for using test subscribers. Adding the same option as there is in regular newsletters shouldn’t be a big deal, I’ll pass this to our developers.
Thanks for your feedback,
MichaelMarch 26, 2024 at 5:54 pm in reply to: Ability to have one-time test recipients per newsletter #323816Michael
KeymasterHello,
there is a testing button just above the composer main area (paperplane icon) where you can input whatever email address you need to and a test newlsetter will be sent to that address. Is this enough or did I misunderstand what you’d like to have?
Thanks,
MichaelMichael
KeymasterHello,
aren’t you able to switch from private to public after clicking save?
Thanks,
MichaelMichael
KeymasterHello Andreas,
yes you’re right, duplicating newsletter isn’t a viable way of accomplishing what you need. I just suggested it as a temporary workaround. We’re currently considering to add hourly dispatch times to Automated, I’ll keep you posted.
Thanks
MichaelMichael
KeymasterHello,
did you replace N with the actual profile number ? See here for an example: https://www.thenewsletterplugin.com/documentation/newsletters/newsletter-tags/#general-tags
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello Knud,
you can retrieve available statistics by opening the newsletters tab and clicking the Statistics button. Reports and Retargeting addon is part of our premium collection.
Michael
KeymasterIt would be nice, yes, but in email design there are still some limitations in fonts usage. It’s kinda different from regular web design.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello,
are you using a Mac?
If so, it happens from time to time that archive files get downloaded in a incompatible format. Please try to upload directly the plugin folder (uncompressed) via ftp tp wp-content/plugins. Then, activate plugin from the WordPress backend.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello,
you can easily create a dedicated page on your WordPress website with a special form assigned to a particular list, for example, and then simply link that page anywhere in your newsletter.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello, and thanks for using our plugin.
Yes you’re right, we did some changes to the menu since when the video tutorials were published. We’ll have to update them somehow. The List Building menu is now the “Subscription” menu. Let me know if you need any further indications.
Thanks,
MichaelMichael
KeymasterHello Knud,
basic reports are available with the free plugin indeed.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello Marc,
yes you’re right, the composer in Automated is missing the custom test button, we will fix this. In the meantime, you can set your desired test address as a new subscriber and flag it as “Test Subscriber”. In this way, by testing an email inside Automated, you’ll get the test on as many inboxes as you want.
Thanks,
MichaelMichael
KeymasterHello,
yes it is!
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello, and thanks for using our plugin.
Unfortunately no, it’s not possible to use an external composer for our newsletters. Email design is very different from web design and it has its limits, hence the limitations of our own composer. However, we’re working hard to add more and more options as soon as they become compatible with most email clients out there.
Thanks
MichaelMichael
KeymasterHello Daniela,
I’m not sure I understood correctly what you mean when you say “include a link in their email program”: do you mean a link to the signup form in the signature, for example?
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello Stephane, and thanks for using our plugin. I’ll test this extensively and I’ll get back to you as soon as possible.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello Daniela, and thanks for using our plugin. Unfortunately support is available in english only, however I did translate your message. If I’m not mistaken, you’d like to add a sign up form in the same newsletter?
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello Obadele,
can you please send me an example of the newsletter you’re sending at test@thenewsletterplugin.com ?
Thanks,
MichaelMichael
KeymasterHello,
yes, we do support Woocommerce block checkout. However, we’re still testing some minor flaws when switching from one version to another.
Thanks,
MichaelMichael
KeymasterHello,
you’re displaying that message because you’re testing the newsletter, and therefore it’s only a preview. Please set up a test subcriber (which can of course be yourself) and perform a real sending test. In this way, you’ll be able to test unsubscribe links properly.
Thanks,
MichaelMichael
KeymasterHello, yes, somebody actually helps on this forum : )
About your issue: are you sure you are editing the welcome message email and not the welcome page?
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello,
we never considered adding a hourly dispatch time to Automated, since it will possibly lead to spam issues on large lists (every time a new post is found, a new newsletter would be sent to ALL subscribers). However we get that in certain scenarios it could be useful. I’ll pass this to our developers, we will discuss whether to add this option in one of the futures Newsletter releases.
In the meantime, there is a trick to easily do this: duplicate the current Automated, and edit the sending times accordingly, so that the first Automated goes out at say, 9am and 2pm, and the second at 11am and 5pm: this way you’ll have 4 checks a day.

March 18, 2024 at 9:25 am in reply to: Import subscriber from Zapier with ‘confirmed’ status #323208Michael
KeymasterHello,
all your steps looks correct, however we never tested Optimonk first-hand. If a status field is present it should be recognized and picked up by our integration. Could you please export a sample list from Optimonk as csv with the custom variable set and hand it over to me at michael@thenewsletterplugin.com ?
Thanks,
MichaelMichael
KeymasterHello Marco,
to add custom fonts to the composer blocks you’ll have to customize the block themselves or use a custom template. However, we’re considering adding more fonts in the near future.
Thanks,
MichaelMichael
KeymasterHello James,
I’ve passed this to our developers, we’ll look into this as soon as possible. Thanks for you feedback.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello,
I correctly see the check mark in your website. Do you still experience this issue?
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello,
if not Smtp connection info are set in WordPress, then you’re using php mailer. So yes, it’s always better to use a Smtp plugin with the login info that your hosting provider provides.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello Marc, and thanks for using our plugin.
I’m not sure what you mean when you say that the ticket system is abandoned, do you refer to our premium support? If you are a customer I’ll encourage you to use that, I assure it’s the fastest support channel we have.
Automated newsletter template can be created visually by going to Automated > Template, there you can bring in your custom coded block in the composer. If you want to add custom styles to the whole template you should create a custom html template from scratch. At the moment it’s not possible to switch from a composer created template to raw html (but we’ll re-introduce this option very soon).
Michael
Michael
KeymasterAlso, please check your form because the field email is outside the form tag.
Michael
KeymasterHello,
we are aware of this issue but unfortunately there is little we can do about. It’s caused by some aggressive spam filters. I’d suggest to turn on 2-step unsubscription.
Michael
March 14, 2024 at 9:57 am in reply to: Import subscriber from Zapier with ‘confirmed’ status #322995Michael
KeymasterOk, and did you explicitly flagged users as confirmed (status C) on your source?
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello,
yes, I performed some tests and the subscription is correctly working if you go to https://karnavaldergi.com/newsletter/. That means there is something not correctly set up in your footer, we can assure our forms to work on standard WordPress sections only. I would try to rebuild your footer using WordPress standard widgets areas.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello, and thanks for using our plugin. You can set up the confirmation message by going to Subscription > Settings and Messages > Activation.
Michael
March 13, 2024 at 11:01 am in reply to: Import subscriber from Zapier with ‘confirmed’ status #322865Michael
KeymasterHello, and thanks for using our plugin.
Did you follow the guide here to set up the Zapier integration? (sorry, I have to ask).
Michael
KeymasterHello,
last activity data can only be extracted from database, but as I told you, we are considering adding this option in one of the next Newsletter updates, based on your feedback.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello Holger, while technically possible, legally it’s not. This would be considered spam (individuals must subscribe first-hand) and would greatly decrease your spam ratings. I would not suggest going this way.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello,
IP adddress is included only if present, for various reasons it’s not possible to automatically collect that info for every subscriber. Subscription date should be visible in the exported csv.
Last activity is not, however it may be possible to extract that data from the database. I need to check with our developers on this last point. I’ll be back as soon as possible. thank you.Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello,
you can export subscribers with various data directly from our Export module inside Newsletter, date of subscription is included. I’m not sure about data of last activity, it could be possible to extract that info from a database dump, but I need to check with our developers. I’ll get back to you asap.

Grazie,
MichaelMichael
KeymasterHello Mark,
of course if you add your own custom html block you would have full control over the content display rules. We’re actually redesigning some of our composer blocks in order to add more options, we totally get that sometimes it could be a little bit rudimentary.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello Mark,
my bad, I forgot to point out that the column block is available with the Extended Composer Blocks addon. You need to activate it from Newsletter > Addons Manager.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello @nonstop, and thanks for using our plugin and for wanting to give our premium version a try!
1. Yes of course, bounced addresses are always visible on subscribers list (which you can filter and export).
2. Yes, you can set up a dedicated mailbox (which is highly suggested) and set that as return path.
If you any other questions, feel free to ask, I’m here to help.
Thanks,
MichaelMichael
KeymasterHello,
you don’t really need documentation, there is a column named block among available blocks in our composer, just drag it in the newsletter and you’re good to go. I also get that text wrapped images are a common way of styling paragraphs, but the fact is, in email design it will lead to display issues which cannot be easily debugged.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello Mark, and thanks for using our plugin.
We do have a columns block which allows you to pick a photo and a caption with a link for each column. Text wrapped around images would lead to a lot of display issues in many email clients, so it’s an option we decided not to include in our composer.
Thanks
MichaelMichael
KeymasterHello,
no, it’s not a newer feature however it should solve your issue. It is most likely caused by automatic antispam measuers that some clients put in place. Let me know if that works for you!
Have a nice day,
MichaelMichael
KeymasterHello Francesco,
we’ll fix this in next Newsletter update. Those are just warnings, I’d suggest to deactivate warnings display in your environment.
Thanks,
MichaelMichael
KeymasterHello Francesco,
thanks, we’re already checking this. I’ll keep you updated.
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello,
the form code seems ok, but it really depends on how you integrated your html template with the WordPress installation itself. It’s really hard to debug without a direct access. Generally we don’t provide support for custom installations, however, if you want to create a test access to your wordpress website, I can take a look. You can email the credentials to michael@thenewsletterplugin.com.
Michael
KeymasterHello, do you have a link to a live test page of your website with the shortcode in it?
Michael
KeymasterHello @elucynovich, and thanks for using our plugin.
Unfortunately email design still comes with some limitations, and there is no way that those dynamic content such as image maps will ever work in an email when opened by your subscribers. I’d suggest creating a static image with an hyperlink to a web version of your map. This way you’ll be sure that everyone will correctly see it.
Thanks
MichaelMarch 5, 2024 at 10:17 pm in reply to: Different views (browser (test view) and e-mail view) #322251Michael
KeymasterHello Holger,
copying parts of web pages inside an email will almost inviariably cause display issues and other glitches. However, given its structure based on tables, which is very similar to email design structure, that page may result in something acceptable. You can try the following:
– copy the exact same piece of html you tried to paste into our composer, go to pastebin.com, paste it there and share that with me
– send a test copy of the faulty newsletter to michael[at]thenewsletterplugin.com so I can have a closer look at it.Thanks,
MichaelMichael
KeymasterAnother idea that crossed my mind: try to activate 2-step unsubscription and see if that solves the issue. Also, just to be sure, if you have them can you paste here some of the ips from where the unsubscription came from? They could be as well automatic unsubscription performed by some antispam tools.
Michael
KeymasterHello, and thanks for using our plugin.
Let me ask the most obvious question first: is your customer the only individual with access to that mailbox?
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello Holger,
thanks for using our plugin. Let me say that what you’re trying to accomplish here is extremely difficult, from an email design perspective. I guess you’re copying the full html structure of that page, which is based on regular tables. It’s probably using some markup not recognized from email readers / editors. Can you please try to add here (you can use pastebin or similar services) the same code you’re pasting into the newsletter?
Michael
KeymasterHello @JSP,
since you’ve recently bought a paid license, remember you can now open premium support tickets. About your enquiry: no, you cannot import existing subscribers from CF7 to Newsletter. You can perform a once and for all import with Wp All Import or similar plugins and then use our official CF7 integration from that moment on (or just Newsletter, based on your needs).
Michael
KeymasterHello, activation emails should be sent upon user subscription only and in no other cases. Can you explain me what are you trying to accomplish in detail and when exactly those unwanted activation emails are triggered?
Michael
KeymasterSem problemas!
Thanks,
MichaelMichael
KeymasterHello,
give textcleaner a try, and then let me know your tests results.
Thanks,
MichaelMichael
KeymasterHello,
what content are you trying to copy and where are you trying to paste it? Anyway, you should try to copy without formatting while in Word (the exact function depends on which Word version you are using). You can also try this online tool: https://textcleaner.net/
Michael
Michael
KeymasterHello @JSP,
can you please go to Help > Delivery inside Newsletter and tell me wha you see on “How are messages delivered by Newsletter to your subscribers?” section? A screenshot of the whole page would be helpful too.
Thanks,
MichaelMichael
KeymasterHello,
are you using an Smtp plugin / external service to send your emails? This could be caused by a number of reasons, so the more specific on your sending setup you can be, the better.
Thanks,
MichaelMichael
KeymasterHello @selehattininn,
I didn’t fully understand what you’re trying to do, could you please be more specific?
Thanks
MichaelMichael
KeymasterHello @jose.flipe,
just go to Settings > General Settings > Setup Wizard and the step by step installation should start again.
Let me know if you need anything else,
MichaelMichael
Keymaster`Hello Domenico,
I can confirm we never ran lifetime subscription offers on our own website. All our licenses last one year from the moment of purchase and include access to updates and premium support. A renewal notification is sent shortly before subcription expiry date.
Best regards,
Michael
The Newsletter PluginMichael
KeymasterHello,
thanks for your enquiry. First of all, can you tell me which issues are you experiencing during ticket creation?
About yuor questions: yes, you’d need to export your lists as csv, then you can easily import them in our plugin through the Advanced Import addon. If you had signup pages created with Tribulant’s plugin, you’d need to deactivate them and replace them with Newsletter’s own sign up forms.
Michael
KeymasterHello,
did you follow our guide on how to implement custom themes? You can find it here. In particular, be sure to have put your custom themes in the right folder, otherwise they could have been overwritten by the update.
