Hello,
can you please explain what you’d like to achieve? I’m sorry but I don’t fully understand it.
Michael
November 23, 2024 at 11:07 am in reply to: Link Tracking when a website is not web-accessible #336144MichaelKeymasterHello Amrit,
now it’s all clear, thanks for the clarification. I’ll ask our developers if this is doable, however it is a very particular situation which we normally cannot give support to.
Michael
MichaelKeymasterHello,
may I ask which version of Newsletter are you on?
Thanks,
MichaelNovember 21, 2024 at 3:22 pm in reply to: Link Tracking when a website is not web-accessible #336050MichaelKeymasterHello Amrit,
I’m sorry but I don’t think I understood what is going on here : ) Could you describe your situation again?
Thanks,
MichaelMichaelKeymasterHello Rob,
we’d wait a little bit longer in order to decide to add Blue Sky to our social networds list.
Thanks,
MichaelMichaelKeymasterHello,
yes, there is no option to “style” the captcha screen. We will consider adding this in the future, thank you.
Michael
MichaelKeymasterHello,
sorry, I’m not understanding this. Which option are you referring to?
Michael
MichaelKeymasterHello Shelley,
yes that is right, links will work correctly in the sent newsletter (also in the test ones, of course).
Michael
MichaelKeymasterSorry, but do you have a “list” field currently active on your form?
Michael
MichaelKeymasterHello,
as the message itself says, it is only shown to system administrators. It won’t be visible on the public website.
Michael
MichaelKeymasterHello,
to edit the captcha you’d need to manually edit the templates. However we cannot give support on these matters, unfortunately.
Michael
MichaelKeymasterHello,
is the newsletter dedicated page correctly set up and active? Can you share a link to the website?
Michael
MichaelKeymasterHello Patrick,
unfortunately no, we haven’t added this feature yet.
Michael
MichaelKeymasterHello,
no, at the moment it’s not possible to have the captcha directlty in the widget. I’ve passed this to our developers for further evaluation, thanks for your feedback.
Michael
MichaelKeymasterHello,
it says “by day” because it refers to the day when the newsletter has been sent (it helps when you have an history of sent newsletters and want to find quickly how many interactions a campaign got). But yes, I get your point and we’ll be changing that to something more precise.
Thanks for your feedback.
Michael
MichaelKeymasterHello,
as explained in our documentation (https://www.thenewsletterplugin.com/documentation/addons/extended-features/advanced-import/#import-mode), lists can be assigned later to the imported subscribers, not read from the file itself.
Michael
MichaelKeymasterHello,
at the moment we do not have such option in our composer. You might be able to do that by switching to the html editor, but be warned that by doing do you’ll lose to ability to go back to the visual composer.
Michael
MichaelKeymasterHello,
the global newsletters statistics panel show the total opens for each newsletter, it doesn’t show the increment day by day. In the single newsletter statistics panel, you can see that but only with the premium Reports addon. Read more here: https://www.thenewsletterplugin.com/reports
Michael
MichaelKeymasterHello,
I’m not sure but when I first opened that page I saw the same design and content I’m seeing now, so nothing changed on my side. Could this be due to an aggressive caching policy?
Michael
MichaelKeymasterHello,
yes it’s possible by using our premium addon Autoresponder. Read more here: https://www.thenewsletterplugin.com/autoresponder
Michael
MichaelKeymasterHello Leif,
please go to Help > Delivery and do a test there. Let me know what happens.
Michael
MichaelKeymasterHello,
can you share your website url so I can take a look?
Michael
MichaelKeymasterHello,
that is the general statistics panel, relative to all your newsletters. You need to open the newsletter specific statistic panel: go to sent newsletters list and click on the statistic icon next to the desired newsletter. Let me know if what you see there is correct.
Michael
MichaelKeymasterHello Maurizio,
try to do the following: go to your account page on our website, find the license and click on the regenerate button. Then copy paste the new license code inside the plugin in Settings> General Settings.
Michael
MichaelKeymasterNo worries, glad to have solved this for you!
Michael
MichaelKeymasterHello,
if you go to your WordPress installed plugins list, do you see Newsletter – Import/Export ? Is it activated?
Michael
MichaelKeymasterHello,
I’m really happy this made your work easier : ) If you hadn’t before, would you consider giving us a 5-stars review on our official page on WordPress.org plugin directory?
Thank you so much!
MichaelNovember 6, 2024 at 11:36 pm in reply to: Why do we need the auto-generated newsletter page? #335233MichaelKeymasterHello,
that page contains the main shortcode that Newsletter use for displaying all the service messages and much more. You can read more here: https://www.thenewsletterplugin.com/documentation/installation/newsletter-configuration/#dedicated-page
michael
November 6, 2024 at 9:40 am in reply to: WordPress Auto-Login Confirguration With Newsletter #335154MichaelKeymasterHello,
Wp Users addon should add a new subscriber to Newsletter every time a new user gets registered, even if it gets redirected by your function. Is this not happening?
Michael
MichaelKeymasterHello,
unfortunately the output code of that shortcode will never work inside a newsletter, due to email design constraints. You can try to further style it by editing the raw html of the newsletter, but in this way you’ll lose the ability to use the visual editor (no way back once switched).
Michael
MichaelKeymasterHello,
are you inserting the shortcode generated by MEC into the newsletter composer directly?
Michael
MichaelKeymasterHello,
I see your point. Can you send me a screenshot of the statistics panel please?
thanks,
MichaelMichaelKeymasterHello,
when editing settings for an Automated channel, you can add UTM links which can be interpreted by Matomo.
MIchael
MichaelKeymasterHello,
we do not plan on supporting sms notifications on the short period.
Michael
MichaelKeymasterHello,
you should put a custom contact form on site b that sends subscriptions to site a. This can be done through Newsletter’s custom forms. Check our documentation on how to create one and which options are available.
Thanks,
MichaelMichaelKeymasterHello,
sure, you can do that, just check our documention on custom forms creation and editing.
Michael
MichaelKeymasterHello,
there could be a delay between the send of a newsletter and when statistic data will appear. If you see opens and clicks on the first day only, it may indicate that no opens and clicks were performed in the following days. This is quite normal, expecially on a small mailing list.
Michael
MichaelKeymasterHello Ben,
please access your account page in our website and download the import export addon, and try to manually install it.
Michael
MichaelKeymasterHello,
no worries about your question. You can turn off tracking with our plugin. Unsubscribe surveys are not even a feature in our plugin. If you send from your own domain-linked mailbox, that’s what will appear in your recipients from field. This is all included with our free version.
Feel free to ask me if you have any other doubts.
Thanks,
MichaelMichaelKeymasterHello,
no need for deletion, others may find this useful. Glad it works now!
Thanks,
MichaelMichaelKeymasterHello,
first of all I’d like to point out that we don’t throttle sending speed in any way, in both free and premium version (which by the way are exactly the same, you only pay for access to premium support and premium addons).
Sending speed may depend on a number of factors, the most important being your own hosting provider or sending service. You must ask them directly which speed you should set, as every provider has its own limits. Generally speaking, sending with smtps included with your hosting plan will always result in poor performances, in order to get reliability (e.g. deliverability) you should sign up for a free or paid plan at one of the ESP (email sending providers) we are integrated with (or also via Smtp). This is explained in the same page that @web linked.
Thanks,
MichaelMichaelKeymasterHello,
please try to uninstall and reinstall (and activate) the addon manager and see if that solved the issue.
Thanks
MichaelKeymasterHello,
please perform the diagnostics steps as described here: https://www.thenewsletterplugin.com/documentation/troubleshooting/email-sending-issues/#delivery-diagnostic
thanks,
MichaelOctober 22, 2024 at 10:12 am in reply to: Profile View – duplicated form and change of the sentence below #334453MichaelKeymasterHello Jonas,
I’m not sure I understood what issue you’re experiencing. Could you please elaborate?
Thanks,
MichaelMichaelKeymasterHi,
we do not manage plans upgrades automatically. You can buy the Blogger plan, test it out and then request a refund in the first 30 days after purchase. Then you can keep your account and buy the Agency plan if you’d like to.
Thanks,
MichaelMichaelKeymasterHello,
please have a look at our documentation about using the different kinds of forms and styling them: https://www.thenewsletterplugin.com/documentation/subscription/subscription-form-shortcodes/
Thanks,
MichaelMichaelKeymasterI get it, as I said, keep an eye on our website, there might be promo sales going on soon.
take care,
MichaelOctober 18, 2024 at 9:27 am in reply to: Difference between various Newsletter Subscription Forms #334280MichaelKeymasterHello Matthew,
yes of course, check our official documentation here: https://www.thenewsletterplugin.com/documentation/subscription/subscription-form-shortcodes/
Michael
MichaelKeymasterYeah sure,
send it to michael@thenewsletterplugin.com , thanks.
MichaelKeymasterHello,
that’s not supported, only dropdowns are supported at this time, sorry.
Michael
MichaelKeymasterThat’s weird. Are your posts all public and published? Can you send me a screenshot of the posts block with the settings?
Thanks,
MichaelOctober 17, 2024 at 10:14 am in reply to: Difference between various Newsletter Subscription Forms #334135MichaelKeymasterHello Matthew,
the first one is the block based subscription form you can add to your pages, posts, widgets (everywhere WordPress supports block based editing). Legacy widget need to be used when you’re using classic widgets. The shortcode version is mostly used to add a custom coded form.
Hope this clarifies things!
Thanks,
MichaelMichaelKeymasterHello @bga.lambert,
sorry to hear that. We find that our prices are well in the average of WordPress premium plugins prices. We run promo sales every now and then, you might want to come back to our website to check if one is active.
Thanks,
MichaelMichaelKeymasterHello @bga.lambert,
that is our regular price for the 3 website license. We do not offer licenses for 1-site only.
Thanks,
MichaelMichaelKeymasterHello @webmaster,
as Stefano said, that template cannot be edited right now.
Thanks,
MichaelMichaelKeymasterHello,
did you select the correct category which your posts belong to? Also, remember to save your template before performing a test send.
Michael
MichaelKeymasterHi,
don’t worry we are well aware of GDPR’s regulations. That is a recommendation, anyway all data is in your hands and nothing is stored elsewhere rather than your own server.
thanks
MichaelOctober 8, 2024 at 4:31 pm in reply to: Is there a way to publish a newsletter also as post automatically #333636MichaelKeymasterNewsletters can’t be converted automatically to posts, but you can use the Archive addon to have an online version of your sent newsletters.
Michael
MichaelKeymasterHello,
we’re currently checking. We’ll be back as soon as possible.
Thanks,
MichaelMichaelKeymasterHello,
we’re currently checking. We’ll be back as soon as possible.
Thanks,
MichaelMichaelKeymasterHello,
where does Gdrp state this?
Michael
MichaelKeymasterHello Mueller,
you already opened another thread with your feedback, for which we thank you as it’s always appreciated. If you ran a test yourself before sending out a newsletter (which is a best practice) you would have seen the weird chars, that’s why we encourage to always test newsletters before an actual send. Anyway, I already apologized for this and for any inconvenience it may have caused to you. We can’t do much more than aknowledge our mistakes and fix them in the shortest possible amount of time. Hope this makes sense.
Michael
MichaelKeymasterHello,
the second update you saw yesterday has been released in order to fix that bug. That’s the only way we have to fix anything, so yes, we apologize for the bug we introduced with Newsletter 8.5.3 but it was fixed in a matter of hours with release 8.5.4. Release 8.5.5 has nothing to do with that bug, it aims to fix another couple of bugs which appear in rather uncommon scenarios.
Thanks,
MichaelMichaelKeymasterHello,
do you have the popup addon still active on your website? I can’t have it displayed.
Michael
MichaelKeymasterHi,
you can simply use the privacy field, you can set it up on the main form configuration panel. Links will always open in a new page.
Michael
MichaelKeymasterHello,
at the moment we don’t have a way to edit the notification template, apart from editing the php file (which unfortunately we don’t offer support with).
Michael
MichaelKeymasterHello,
do you have a live example of this I can check?
Michael
MichaelKeymasterHello,
I’m not sure I understood correctly what you need to do, sorry about this. Could you please elaborate?
Michael
MichaelKeymasterHello,
available tags are listed here: https://www.thenewsletterplugin.com/documentation/newsletters/newsletter-tags/
Michael
October 3, 2024 at 10:36 am in reply to: Is there any way to change/add css classes to the subscription forms? #333266MichaelKeymasterHello,
if you use a custom coded form (html form) you can add any class you’d like to. This will also remain consistent even if you change your design or update the plugin of course.

Michael
MichaelKeymasterHello,
do you have a live version of this I can test?

September 30, 2024 at 9:12 am in reply to: Which Newsletter configuration to choose to send events newsletters? #333013MichaelKeymasterOh yeah sorry: everything you create or collect with our plugin will reside on your own server, nothing is stored elsewhere.
Michael
September 27, 2024 at 11:39 am in reply to: newsletter form in dropdown version multi-selection #332890MichaelKeymasterSalve,
nel nostro form standard la visualizzazione con le checkbox (multiselezione) è quella di default. Che tipo di form stai usando?
Michael
MichaelKeymasterHello Xavier,
at the moment we do not have any integrations with any CRM software, nor we plan one in the near future. Any integrations should be developed from scratch. We do however have some APIs instructions ready to be used. Read more on our documentation pages.
Thanks,
michaelSeptember 27, 2024 at 9:35 am in reply to: Which Newsletter configuration to choose to send events newsletters? #332853MichaelKeymasterHello,
no, you can’t send automatic and “immediate” newsletter when a new event is published with out plugin. With Automated addon, newsletters are sent with a schedule (which can also be hourly): if it finds new events published in that interval, it will generate and send a new newsletter, otherwise it will stay idle.
Smtp2Go is a good service, and will provide of course optimal deliverabilty at cheap prices.
Michael
MichaelKeymasterHello,
happy to hear that!
Michael
MichaelKeymasterHello,
customization of the captcha is not possible through the admin, you should edit it via code, but unfortunately we do not offer support on these matters.
MichaelKeymasterHello,
try to enable debug mode in Settings > General > Advances and see if it catches any more specific php error. You’d need to have a newsletter sending and wait for cron to run (approx every 5 mins). Get back to me with any results.
Michael
MichaelKeymasterHello,
our plugin cannot collect that kind of info, so there’s no way to use Automated to send birthdays newsletters. Sorry.
Michael
September 25, 2024 at 10:52 am in reply to: email_url shortcodes and line breaks not honoured? #332613MichaelKeymasterHello.
1. I never said that, I could replicate your issue (and Outlook mobile has also other issues, to tell the truth) but I said we cannot solve it at the moment.
2. Service emails are not newsletters. Newsletters are newsletters and can be seen online, hence why that tag only works in newsletters.
3. Just scale your header banner to 650px or 700px or leave it as it is, it won’t make that big difference if you think to the enormous variety of screen sizes, email clients, devices your newsletter will be read with. I know it sounds silly, but it’s true.Michael
September 25, 2024 at 10:45 am in reply to: Which Newsletter configuration to choose to send events newsletters? #332612MichaelKeymasterThat’s nice Larry, glad to hear your positive experience with Newsletter : )
MichaelKeymasterHello,
I’ll have this discussed with our developers, I’ll get back to you as soon as possible.
Michael
MichaelKeymasterHello,
you can buy one of our premium licenses from this page: thenewsletterplugin.com/premium.
MichaelKeymasterHello Vera,
you could use the Columns block, which is included in the Extended Composer Blocks premium addon.
Michael
September 22, 2024 at 11:35 pm in reply to: email_url shortcodes and line breaks not honoured? #332361MichaelKeymasterHello @alefveld,
sorry for this delay. I’ve had a hard time troubleshooting the Outlook mobile issue, it’s always very difficult to optimize email design for that particular client. At this moment I’m sorry to say I don’t really have a workaround, from the information I gathered Outlook has some weird behaviours with line breaks. We’ll keep investigating this but I’m not sure we’ll be able to fix it.
About the email url tag: I just saw you mentioned it’s not working in welcome and goodbye emails (my bad) but it’s supposed to work in regular newsletters only, to show an online version of the actual newsletter.
About the banner issue: in our templates it is capped at 600px, that’s correct. Where did you set it to be 675px wide? I’m not sure I understood this correctly.
Michael
MichaelKeymasterHello Ian,
sorry if you needed this reply a little bit earlier : ) You can stop newsletters by going to the newsletters list inside Automated, and selecting the one which is currently being sent. Or, you can go to Help/delivery panel, where you can find a quick overview of the newsletters being sent at any moment.
Thanks,
MichaelMichaelKeymasterHello,
we don’t have that feature at the moment, but I’ve passed this to our developers for further consideration.
Thanks,
MichaelSeptember 19, 2024 at 9:53 am in reply to: Which Newsletter configuration to choose to send events newsletters? #332139MichaelKeymasterHello Stefano,
my answer is yes to almost all your questions : ) The limits we mention are those of the hosting providers: generally speaking, they never offer a real smtp service and even if they do, it’s almost never reliable. So yeah, if you’re sending out relevant amounts of emails, it’s very recommended to subscribe to a (even a free) ESP (email service provider). All your other assumptions on the The Events Calendar integration are correct.
By the way, siamo italiani e se hai bisogno di avere qualche info in più puoi tranquillamente scrivermi a michael@thenewsletterplugin.com : )
Thanks,
MichaelMichaelKeymasterHello,
this isn’t a viable option, unfortunately. I totally get the difficulties one faces nowadays to succesfully send a newsletter that will (hopefully) hit the subscribers inboxes, however there is no guarantees that even a second email address won’t bounce back incoming newsletters. It’s a complex matter, we know that. What I can suggest to do is to improve every aspect of the so called deliverability, apart from that, bounces can still occur but there’s little we can do at that point.
Thanks,
MichaelSeptember 17, 2024 at 5:01 pm in reply to: Which Newsletter configuration to choose to send events newsletters? #331991MichaelKeymasterHello,
I’m sure you’ll be happy to know that Newsletter integrates perfectly with The Events Calendar and that you can schedule automatic newsletters with last events through our Automated addon. Both are included in all our premium plans, which you can find here: https://www.thenewsletterplugin.com/premium
September 17, 2024 at 4:58 pm in reply to: email_url shortcodes and line breaks not honoured? #331990MichaelKeymasterHello,
not yet sorry, I’m still troubleshooting this.
Michael
September 16, 2024 at 4:41 pm in reply to: Our monthly newsletter automaticly unsubscribed some of our subscribers. #331905MichaelKeymasterOk, I see. It’s probably caused by some aggressive spam filter which is triggering an automatic unsubscription (where it shouldn’t, of course). Could you please tell me more on your environment? Mail client, mail provider etc…
Thanks,
MichaelSeptember 16, 2024 at 2:12 pm in reply to: Our monthly newsletter automaticly unsubscribed some of our subscribers. #331887MichaelKeymasterHello,
that is perfectly normal and required by many service providers, Google and Yahoo among them. Read more here: https://www.mailjet.com/blog/deliverability/understanding-gmail-unsubscribe/#subchapter-4
thanks.
September 16, 2024 at 8:42 am in reply to: email_url shortcodes and line breaks not honoured? #331876MichaelKeymasterHello,
I’m taking a look right now, I’ll get back to you as soon as possible!
Thanks,
MichaelMichaelKeymasterHello Thomas,
sorry but I didnt understand your inquiry. Could you please eleborate?
Michael
MichaelKeymasterHello,
single post block drop down picker is limited to the last 100 posts. To send a newsletter with an older post, I’d recommend to install Instasend addon, open up the desired post and create an Instasend newsletter from the sidebar.
Michael

Michael
September 13, 2024 at 2:33 pm in reply to: email_url shortcodes and line breaks not honoured? #331847MichaelKeymasterHello,
1. I’ll have a quick chat with the developers about this, as it’s rather weird, specially if you say that the other tags work fine.
2-3. Could you please send me a test newsletter so I can take a closer look? Send it to michael@thenewsletterplugin.comThanks,
MichaelMichaelKeymasterHello,
no, it doesn’t require an additional database, it uses the same db as your site does.
Michael
MichaelKeymasterHello Stefan,
while we don’t offer single addons for sale, our licenses are not subscription based: you can buy a year of updates and premium support and access to our whole collection of premium addons. After that year, you can choose to renew or not (no automatic rebilling).
MichaelKeymasterHello,
all the data stay on your own server. It’s completely self-hosted.
MichaelKeymasterHello,
we’re in the process of making every message editable with our visual composer, which will solve this once and for all. Anyway, that message is really useful only for antispam filters.
Thanks,
MichaelMichaelKeymasterHello,
I’ve pinged our developers on this feature request. Our roadmap is based upon many factors, but we take every single feedback into consideration.
Michael
MichaelKeymasterHello,
for questions regarding our premium WooCommerce addon, please open a ticket from your account page so our dedicated support team can answer you there.
Thanks,
MichaelMichaelKeymasterHello,
our plugin translations are based upon WordPress.org translate project, sometimes it takes a while before new parts of the plugin get properly translated in all languages. Which language are you referring to? So I can check translation status.
Michael
August 26, 2024 at 10:16 am in reply to: Subscriber automatically removed from list without consent #331064MichaelKeymasterHello,
unsubscription links only work when put inside newsletters, so the system knows where the clicks come from and operates accordingly. Of course subscribers can unsubscribe also from their private profile page.
Michael
MichaelKeymasterHello,
those are correct. Unfortunately no, you cannot modify them in order to have them more human-readable.
Michael
MichaelKeymasterHello,
unfortunately we don’t have such an option at the moment.
Michael
MichaelKeymasterHello,
if you have single opt-in enabled and correctly setup newsletter dedicated page, the confirmation message should appear on the same page. If you mean without refresh, we do not have an ajax option at the moment.
Michael
MichaelKeymasterHello,
unfortunately no, at the moment that’s not possible. However it’s a nice idea, I’ve passed this to our developers : )
Thanks for your feedback,
MichaelMichaelKeymasterHello,
just to be clear: you’d like to send last newsletters to news subscribers only? If that’s what you want to do, there is no option to do that automatically, at the moment.
Michael
MichaelKeymasterHello,
yes, that’s what was missing. Glad it works correctly now!
Thanks,
MichaelMichaelKeymasterHello,
newsletter images cannot be used as social share feature image. However, you can set a custom image using a Seo plugin such as Yoast, Rankmath or AIOSEO.
Thanks,
MichaelMichaelKeymasterHi, we’re still working on it. We currently have some other major developments going on so I’m not sure when these features will be ready. Thanks for your patience!
Michael
August 20, 2024 at 9:37 am in reply to: Subscriber automatically removed from list without consent #330833MichaelKeymasterHello,
it looks like your developing on a local environment, this may lead to unexpected behaviours but first of all, could you describe me what’s exactly not working?
Thanks,
MichaelMichaelKeymasterHello,
let me check this!
Michael
MichaelKeymasterHello,
to translate Newsletter core plugin we use WordPress GlotPress project, which you can find and contribute to here: https://translate.wordpress.org/projects/wp-plugins/newsletter/.
As you can see, Bulgarian has already been translated (mostly).
As for the addons, at the moment we do not provide localization. Thanks,
MichaelMichaelKeymasterHello,
unfortunately no, we do not have a tag to show that. I’ve passed this to our developers, which will consider adding this in the future. Thanks for your feedback.
Michael
MichaelKeymasterHello,
Newsletter works with any sending method, it does not *require* an external sending engine. However, using an external service greatly improves sending reliability and it’s very recommended. More on this: https://www.thenewsletterplugin.com/documentation/troubleshooting/
August 14, 2024 at 11:12 am in reply to: minimal subscription form: space between email field and button #330644MichaelKeymasterHello Daniel,
you can override this by adding some custom css code, by goint to Settings > General > Advanced.
Michael
MichaelKeymasterHello,
no, unfortunately you can’t.
Michael
MichaelKeymasterHello,
you can edit this by going to your form settings and check Privacy panel.
Michael
MichaelKeymasterHello Yannick,
of course you’re absolutely right: I’ve already passed this to our developers for further investigation. Hopefully it will be added soon. We’re trying to refine and add options to our composer as often as we can, and your feedback is crucial.
Thanks,
MichaelMichaelKeymasterHello Udo,
if you try to add newsletter form shortcode on a test page, do you see the same error message about the missing custom fields?
Michael
MichaelKeymasterHello,
yes it’s possible but you need some basic html and css knowledge in order to get that. Start from here: https://www.thenewsletterplugin.com/documentation/subscription/subscription-forms-style/
MichaelKeymasterHello,
unfortunately we cannot help you with that.
Michael
MichaelKeymasterHello,
you can edit the confirmation, welcome and cancellation emails from Settings > Messages template
MichaelKeymasterHello Nessi,
first of all yes, it’s visible only to site admins. Could you try to delete any entry in the Custom Fields panel and then hit save and see if they’re gone?
Michael
MichaelKeymasterYes, sorry for this delay. The easiest way to do this is to export a csv of your mailing list, sort them by lists, delete the desired ones, and then re-upload the filtered list.
Michael
August 5, 2024 at 11:46 am in reply to: Newsletter Emails Unverified; Won’t Deliver to Gmail #330309MichaelKeymasterHello,
you probably need to set DKIM and SPF records. Please take a look here: https://www.thenewsletterplugin.com/documentation/delivery-and-spam/spf-dkim-dmarc/ and ask your hosting provider if you’re unsure how to set them up.
Michael
August 5, 2024 at 11:40 am in reply to: Company Logo does not appear in Subscription E-Mails #330308MichaelKeymasterHello,
I’m testing this right now. I’ll get back to you as soon as I have any updates.
Michael
MichaelKeymasterHi,
yeah, probably it was some conflict with your theme.
Glad it works now.Michael
August 2, 2024 at 10:05 am in reply to: Company Logo does not appear in Subscription E-Mails #330256MichaelKeymasterHello,
are you referring to welcome emails? Do you have a live subscription form where I can test this?
Michael
MichaelKeymasterHello,
you should use the minimal form shortcode, check it out on our documentation pages!
Michael
MichaelKeymasterThat’s great, thanks for your feedback!
Michael
MichaelKeymasterHello,
we don’t offer such feature out of the box, so inserting html code is the only way you can do it.
Thanks,
MichaelMichaelKeymasterHello,
you can’t pick single posts from that block, but you can use the “single post” block, which is included in our premium licenses.
Thanks,
MichaelMichaelKeymasterHello,
no, you won’t lose any data. Just change license with the paid one and you’ll be able to update everything.
Thanks,
MichaelMichaelKeymasterHello Rolf,
that function has been discontinued, as written in the documentation. You should use the template edit panel inside Newsletter instead.
Michael
MichaelKeymasterHello,
we don’t have an integration with that plugin at the moment, so I’m not sure how it can be linked to Newsletter. You can however take a look at our API v2 documentation and see if you can take it from there. https://www.thenewsletterplugin.com/documentation/developers/newsletter-api-2/
Michael
MichaelKeymasterHello,
most probably someone deleted it. There’s no reason a newsletter should disappear, we don’t even have an action for that except for the actual delete button. Or maybe someone deleted the table from the the database, but again, it looks like a very specific action to perform.
Michael
MichaelKeymasterHello,
yes you’re right, addons are not pulled from the Wp repository, that’s why clicking details don’t work. Most of the times updates of addons are bugfixes or minor improvements, so we don’t track those. Whenever there are new features or major changes, we usually announce them on our socials or via newsletter.
Michael
MichaelKeymasterHello,
a quick question: did you set the missing newsletter as “Private” in newsletter’s advanced settings?
MichaelKeymasterHello,
you can do that with our Automated premium addon, however new posts are sent on a schedule-basis, not automatically when a new post is published.
Thanks,
MichaelMichaelKeymasterHello,
I’m not sure I understood correctly what you’d like to achieve, but you can start from that code and edit it like you want, then use it in any page you’d like to.
Michael
MichaelKeymasterHello,
yes, just one email address is allowed at time. You can however create a filter in your mailbox to forward those emails to another address.
Thanks,
MichaelMichaelKeymasterHello,
no, there is no yearly scheduling options at the moment. I’ve passed this to our developers and we’ll consider adding this option in the future.
Thanks for your feedback,
MichaelMichaelKeymasterThanks Per,
for the kind words and the precious feedback. I’ve passed this to our developers, and we’ll consider creating a package for Composer.
Have a great day,
MichaelMichaelKeymasterHello,
the solution posted by Tony is the correct one.
Thanks,
MichaelMichaelKeymasterHello,
yeah, sorry for this delay, we’re still troubleshooting this. I’ll get back to you later this morning.
Thanks,
MichaelMichaelKeymasterHello Marcel,
yes exactly, that’s what I wanted to check. I’ll now investigate this with our developers, thanks for your feedback!
Michael
MichaelKeymasterHello,
do you have a live form where I can test the subscription process?
Michael
MichaelKeymasterHello,
test send button is on the composer panel, you are referring to the sending panel (after having pressed “Next”). Try a test send and see if the wrong font shows up in the actual email as well.
Michael
MichaelKeymasterHello,
at this page: https://www.ak-traditionelle-textilien-mv.de/newsletter-archiv/ I can see the two latest newsletters being shown, while the oldest one (08.05) is not. I’m not sure why it isn’t showing all three newsletters, but as long it is present in the database, it should show up.
Try to go to Newsletter Archive settings, change the “Showing the newsletter” option to something else, save, and check if the third newsletter is now showing up.Michael
July 16, 2024 at 10:52 am in reply to: I want to get the email field and submit button on one row. #329416MichaelKeymasterHello,
you should use minimal form ([newsletter_form type="minimal"]) to have it all on one line. Attributes are accepted as well. Confirmation on the same page are not supported, you should always set a welcome page in Subscription > Settings.
Michael
MichaelKeymasterHello,
if you go to Subscription > Lists, you can unlink all subscribers from the Crowdfunding list and they’ll still be linked to the other lists you have. If I understood correctly what you’re trying to do : )
Michael
MichaelKeymasterHello,
do you see this behaviour right in the composer or after you perform a test send?
Michael
MichaelKeymasterHello Per,
at the moment unfortunately we don’t have a composer package for Newsletter.
Michael
MichaelKeymasterHello,
has the second newsletter been actually sent? Could you please send me a screenshot of your newsletter list?
Thanks,
MichaelMichaelKeymasterHello,
if you go to main settings it should report a more specific error. Try to empty the field, save, then input it again e click save again.Michael
MichaelKeymasterHello,
which shortcode did you use on that page?
Michael
July 11, 2024 at 9:37 am in reply to: Problem with sending two or more mailings at the same time #329215MichaelKeymasterHello Filip,
simultaneous sendings are not supported, additional newsletters sends are always queued.
Michael
MichaelKeymasterHello,
unfortunately no, web versions of newsletters are generated dynamically and there is now way of editing them. You could however use a link shortener like bit.ly.
Michael
MichaelKeymasterHello,
which error are you getting?
Michael
MichaelKeymasterHello,
that link is wrongly formatted, did you correctly setup a newsletter dedicated page?
Michael
MichaelKeymasterHello,
we already have some countermeasures against spammers, please check this page: https://www.thenewsletterplugin.com/documentation/subscription/antiflood/
Thanks
MichaelKeymasterHello,
maybe you sent the second newsletter to a different list or set some filters by mistake?
Michael
MichaelKeymasterHello,
did you take a look at our documentation page on multilanguage? https://www.thenewsletterplugin.com/documentation/installation/multilanguage/
Thanks,
MichaelMichaelKeymasterHello Eric,
thanks for the kind words. I’ve passed this to our developers, which will consider wheter to add this to our development roadmap.
Always nice to have some feedback from our users, thank you!
MichaelMichaelKeymasterHello Gabi,
I took a look at your last newsletter and the online version works as expected. Can you confirm this?
Thanks,
MichaelJune 20, 2024 at 9:37 am in reply to: Integration with Mailjet: which contact database is used ? #328249MichaelKeymasterHello Patrick,
yes, that’s correct. Integration with third party services like Mailjet regards the sending process only (and bounce management). Contacts and newsletter creation are always managed with Newsletter.
Thanks,
MichaelMichaelKeymasterHello,
when you send a newsletter you can embed a link to their profile page which can be reached without the need of entering email addresses. If you are referring to WordPress users which are not subscribers yet, you can install our addon Wp Users, which lets you import WordPress users to your mailing list.
Thanks,
MichaelMichaelKeymasterHello Gabi,
do you plan to send a new newsletter in the next days? I just subscribed to your website and for troubleshooting purposes it would be better that I receive directly, cause there seems to be something wrong on all the links contained in the newsletter.
Thanks,
MichaelMichaelKeymasterHello,
that’s a warning message, please turn off wp debug from your wp-config.
You cannot register twice the same email address, each address is unique.
Thanks,
MichaelMichaelKeymasterHello Gabi,
I’d need you to forward me an already sent newsletter, could you do that?
Thanks,
MichaelMichaelKeymasterHello Karen,
in order to get support for paid addons, I’d ask you to open a ticket from your profile page.
Thanks,
MichaelMichaelKeymasterHello,
sorry, for some reason your post went unnoticed. Yes, it’s possible, in the Advanced panel just after the composer, you can type in a different sender address and a sender name for each newsletter.
Thanks,
MichaelMichaelKeymasterHello,
can you please send a test newsletter to michael@thenewsletterplugin.com ? Please let me know when it’s sent.
Thanks,
MichaelJune 10, 2024 at 10:58 am in reply to: How to apply a correction to an already sent newsletter ? #327689MichaelKeymasterHello,
yes, that’s the correct procedure.
Thanks,
MichaelMichaelKeymasterHello,
there are no “newsletters default css”, everything you can set is inside the composer. If you’d like to style your newsletter further, you’d need to switch to html editor but you cannot go back to the composer once you do that.
Michael
MichaelKeymasterHello,
did you try a test run from the Help > Delivery panel?
Thanks,
MichaelMichaelKeymasterHello,
for heavy customizations you should use a custom form, which lets you add further html elements along with custom styles. Take a look at our documentation, custom forms section.
Thanks,
MichaelMichaelKeymasterHello,
you need to edit the page where you inserted the [newletter] shortcode (which is a unique page, dynamically showing service messages). You can edit that with Gutemberg, of course.
Thanks,
MichaelMichaelKeymasterHello,
are you trying to style the read more button inside newsletters? If so, you should use the composer, the custom css box is used to style the forms only.
Thanks,
MichaelJune 5, 2024 at 8:58 am in reply to: How to send blog newsletter off of user selected list selection #327417MichaelKeymasterHello Bryan,
in order to get supporto for premium addons (if you have a valid license), please submit a ticket from this page: https://www.thenewsletterplugin.com/support
Thanks,
MichaelMichaelKeymasterHello,
sorry but I must ask again: do you have.a valid license? If so, you have to open a ticket in order to obtain support. We cannot answer support requests for addons here, we have a dedicated channel for that.
Thanks,
MichaelMichaelKeymasterHello,
we checked your email and there is something not working properly in the headers. Can you check if you have any other plugin that may interact with email sending? Our plugin does not generate headers, they are generated by Php libraries contained in WordPress core.
Thanks,
MichaelMichaelKeymasterHello Lukasz,
the best advice I can give you is to backup everything and proceed with the installation, then check if your website exploded. : ) Jokes apart, we are not aware of particular issues that may arise, however when upgrading between different major versions, it’s always a best practice to try it first on a staging account, if available, or have ready a fresh backup in the case something doesn’t work afterwards. It should be ok, though.
Thanks,
MichaelMichaelKeymasterHello, thanks.
Could you please send a test newsletter directly from the composer at test@thenewsletterplugin.com so we can take a closer look?
Michael
MichaelKeymasterHello,
I’m not sure I understood correctly. What is gmx? An email provider?
Thanks,
MichaelMichaelKeymasterHello,
yes, unfortunately we made a mistake and we apologize for that. If you do have an active license with us, in order to get premium support please open a ticket from here: https://www.thenewsletterplugin.com/account/tickets. Please attach some screenshots of the main Autoresponder settings panel and of the various email steps. Or, if you prefer, you can set up a temporary admin login to your website so we can take a closer look (this would be faster).
Thanks,
MichaelMichaelKeymasterHello,
that was a wrong answer, I can confirm that you must set the delay from the previous message, as you did. Sorry for the misunderstanding. That’s why I asked you for the screenshots.
Michael
MichaelKeymasterHello,
this is rather weird. Could you please send me a couple of screenshots from your Autoresponder settings panel? Your configuration seems ok from what you wrote.
Michael
MichaelKeymasterHello Colin,
I already asnwered you through our ticketing system. Let’s communicate there, thanks.
Michael
MichaelKeymasterHello Lukasz,
you’re totally right, from time to time we find some outdated doc pages, thanks for feedback, we will update them as soon as possible. About your question: the Extended Composer Blocks addon has a Single Post block available with styling options. Remember also that all our licenses come with a 30-day money back policy, so you can always try out our professional addons and decide later.
Thanks
MichaelKeymasterHello,
in the exported file there is a status column which can be easily filtered. There is no way of exporting confirmed subscribers only from the plugin.
Thanks,
MichaelMichaelKeymasterHello Patricia,
I just logged in and everything is working as expected. Here’s the “normal” way of using Instased. You create your post, then save it and publish it. Now Instasend widget is active, and you can create a newsletter following the steps.
Michael
MichaelKeymasterHello Patricia,
no worries, I’m going to login again into your website and check this.
Regards,
Michael -
