I noticed this setting, but the German translation of the text that shows when mouse over the slider to enable it is a bit misleading and does not explain the functionality:

“Anzeigen/Verbergen auf der öffentlichen Liste der versendeten Newsletter Verwendet von: Archive Addon”

Translated back to English:

“Show/hide on the public list of sent newsletters Used by: Archive Addon”

Anyway, thanks a lot for the quick help!
