I have inserted my custom HTML in the exact location you specified: Subscription > Confirmation > Email > Text panel, with the “Customize” radio button selected.
I’ve attached a screenshot of this panel showing my settings cant sent here screenshot

Despite following these steps correctly, when I receive the confirmation email, it’s still using the default template structure with my custom content wrapped inside the {message} tag of the newsletter_subscription_template.
What I’m trying to achieve is a completely custom email template without using the default wrapper template at all. Is there a way to override the master template (newsletter_subscription_template) that’s currently wrapping my custom HTML content?
