mysterious subscription

From time to time I have the problem that I receive information about a new newsletter subscriber, but he/she is not in the list.

Just today I received another piece of information about a mysterious subscription. But, and now it gets especially mysterious, since the beginning of the year I don’t use the Newsletter Plug-in anymore and don’t have any opt-in forms on my website anymore.

Does anyone here know where these registrations come from?

If you have the plugin installed and active subscriptions may happen, the from is only the frontend element usable by a user but the backend servie is still active. Just deactivate the plugin.
