I'm looking for a solution for an organization that wants to have automated newsletters for multiple lists without sending multiple newsletters to the same person for the same new post. For example, if a post is categorized as relevant for both donors and volunteers, it may show up as new content for two newsletters, but we don't want those who are both donors and volunteers to receive two newsletters. Is there a good way to achieve that?

Also, is it possible to use a custom taxonomy as a basis for categorization?

    Thanks,
    David

    Hello David,

if you're already using our Automated addon and if you have a valid license, please open a ticket from your account in order to receive premium support.

    Thank you,

This would be a pre-sale question. 🙂 Is there another way I should submit the question?

    Thanks,
    David

    Hello David,

sorry my bad, from your words I thought you were already using the addon. Automated works with channels: every channel is thought as a "topic", that a contact can be subscribed to. He will then be notified whenever some new content gets published on that topic (using dynamic blocks and taxonomies). Of course, if a subscriber is present in more than one list, he will get two separate (same) newsletters, and at the moment there's no easy way to overcome this behaviour. Let me speak with our developers and see if there's a quick workaround to meet your needs.

    Thanks,
    Michael

Thank you! I had one thought: Is it possible to target subscribers IN one list AND NOT IN another list? We might be able to work something out that way....
