    Hello,

Can someone please tell me if the feature that my client is asking for is available in The Newsletter Plugin and if we can do this with the free version or need the Professional version.

I have a list of subscribers that I have imported from our old website into our new website that uses The Newsletter Plugin. We want to send all the subscribers a newsletter that the new website is live and that they can check their profile page to see if their information is up to date. All the subscribers are in the plugin and are not WordPress users.

With this check we want to ask the subscribers to choose what industry they work for. A few examples are: Healthcare, Government, Advice.

Clients question: In the future when we send a newsletter I want to see if a specific industry opens the newsletter more than the others. An example would be that we could see that most subscribers that work in healthcare open the newsletter immediately and that the subscribers that work in Advice open them at a (much)later date.

    Any help is appreciated.

    Hello Reetesh,

yes you can do that even with the free version, however I’d recommend switching to one of our pro licenses in order to get more insights on each newsletter campaign. Basically, when a subscribers signs up you’ll ask for which industry they work for (or you can set this manually for each subscriber, without asking them, or again, you can ask them to update their profile). This means they will be assigned to a list. Then, you send a campaign (even the same, repeated) to each list and simply compare results.

    Hello Michael,

Thank you for your reply. If I understand correctly I have to send the newsletter 3 times if I have 3 industies. Choosing multiple lists in the Targeting tab would not enable me to do the same? Or is that the part where I need the pro license for?
I have a go for the pro license so I will be able to do more testing today using more features.

    Hello,

you can send out a newsletter to multiple lists of course, but in that way there would be no differentiate stats per list, not even with the pro license, however this is an interesting feature and I’ve already informed our developers, we will think about adding this in the future.
