    Hi Newsletter Folks,
Could you please confirm what the difference is between these various flavors of Newsletter Subscription Forms:
“Newsletter subscription form” –> Form Type: Minimal (Gutenberg Block)
    Newsletter Minimal (Legacy Widget)
    [newsletter_form type="minimal"] (shortcode)
Each appears to do the same thing, but I wondered if you recommended using each of the above in certain circumstances.
    Thanks,
    Matthew Huntley

    Hello Matthew,

the first one is the block based subscription form you can add to your pages, posts, widgets (everywhere WordPress supports block based editing). Legacy widget need to be used when you’re using classic widgets. The shortcode version is mostly used to add a custom coded form.

    Hope this clarifies things!

    Thanks,
    Michael

Hi Michael, thanks for the prompt reply and useful feedback. Regarding the custom-coded form, would you happen to have any documentation or examples of this?
    Thanks again,
    Matthew
