Automated needs a "more" link

Automated emails, which are pushed when a new post is published are working well. We are using AWS SES.
The heading, image and precede text are all links to the post. However some recipients don’t realise they can click there to read the post in full. Needs to be a “more” link after the text.

Is it possible for me to write a custom theme to do this?
