    Hi, I am using the Newsletter plugin with the external SMTP plugin provided by the Newsletter plugin.

    I was wondering if username and password are stored in cleartext anywhere, where it can be easily found.

    Is it? It’s not in wp-config.php, so where is it?

    Hello Claus,

    username and password in Smtp are encoded and sent to the Smtp provider only.
